Hello everyone,
im a newbe here but hope someone can help,
ive recently bought a 1967 mercury 20hp outboard as a non runner
ive got it running now but had fuel leaking from prop so i checked the fuel pump and diaphragm was split.
so ive ordered a new diaphragm kit - 23014A1.
So my question is: my old pump has a sealing gasket, then the diaphragm, then another sealing gasket, but the new kit ive ordered has also a 4th diaphragm type gasket with 2 holes in it, do i need to install this gasket too and if so in what order does it go - fule pump side of diaphragm or block side

Kind regards
Kev

Re: 1967 MERCURY 20hp fuel pump diaphragm

Put it together like it was originally. Often the kits contain parts that fit an array of pumps with minor variations, hence the "extra" pieces...
