I picked up a tiller handle 150/105 carb 2.5 merc 1996 jet pump model. Got a good deal on it and I'd like to convert the tiller handle to remote control off the helm. I havent torn into it yet . Steering is going to be the easy part as will throttle control. The FNR shifting part is what I'm wondering about. Will I be able to link a standard shift cable into the jet linkage using off the shelf parts ?
I'd like to keep the jet pump . Its brutal where I'm at. Rocks everywhere and I kill a few props and skegs a year.
