I'm a new boater and have a triton tc17 with a 60 horse merc prop 4 stroke.. Someone told me I could get into shallower water and gain speed if I added a jack plate.. Is this true and if it is, is there anywhere I can get plans to build one?? My brother is a machinist and can build one if he has the blue prints.. I was also told adding a 15 degree stainless prop would also add performance,its spec is a 13 degree prop.. Any help with that???
