The term "really hard to rebuild" depends solely on your mechanical abilitiy. If you know which end of a screw driver to hold, know the difference between righty-tighty and lefty-loosey no it is not difficult. Can you really screw up a carburetor? Certainly. But a little common sense, paying attention to detail, and with the use of a service manual specific to your engine anybody that can read can do it.
