I'm new to outboards/boating and can really use a little help/advise with a starting problem i'm having....
When I turn the key to start the engine I hear a single click in the area of the starter but it never engage the fly wheel and turn the engine.
I tried hot-wiring with jumper cables but that did not work. Also, started the engine with the pull cord on Sunday with no prob.
Both batteries are good (new). I've been running the boat for about two weeks with no issues related to the starter but noticed a slow drain on the batteries. This eventually lead to me replacing them (the old one would not hold the charge).
