Ethanol, 4 stroke, EFI fuel module problems, 2007 + lock down engine

how many have had the cracked vent tube inside the fuel module? mine locked down twice. 1st time sheared the flywheel & starter teeth under warranty filled lower cylinder with fuel. Second time filled lower cylinder with fuel. It has been reported some engine run rich for this problem if crack is small.

I see 5-6 of these a year. And I learned early on not to replace it with the OEM hose I now use the hose that comes with a snowmobile Manuel primer kit I believe the I/D is 3 1/6 s I lightly heat the end of the hose put it on and then pore cold water on it. Sence they don't make a clamp small enough I use safety wire.

great that you agree. OEM fix is not right. used buna-n rubber . get for Mcmaster.com
service bulletin does not address failure of vacuum tube. can see if you have fuel module by serial #.
