1960 mercury 400

I have a 1960 mercury 400, i am trying to find out where the water is supposed to be coming from. right now it is coming from the back of the motor and i dont think that is where it is supposed to be coming from. My husband and i just bought this boat and got a new impeller with it, so we changed it and got the motor running. We are new to this whole boating thing. so if someone could be please help us that would be great. We have tried finding a manual for this motor but that has been an endless search this far.

Ok well we got this problem fixed. But now we are trying to find the float bowl cover. We have found it at one or two places but it is $115 for it. If anyone knows of where we would be able to find one a little bit cheaper please let us know. Thank you

Do you have a carb number? On the face should be a number (KA-XX). I might have some parts...

i got that part taken care of now i need a distrubtor cap for it do you know where i can get one?
