I have a 1975 Mercury 110 9.8HP motor that will not run at full throttle while it is in forward gear. If i put it in reverse or neatural it is fine and will reach its max RPM's, but will not in forward. Only goes about half its true potential while in forward. I have checked and replaced spark plugs, the carb seems good not sure what else to do. If any one could give me some advice on what could be causing this i would appreciate it very much.
Also the motor runs good, starts right up with no problems, just wont go full throttle in forward.
