Hey ya'll. First off thanks for a great site. This is my first post but I have been lurking on here for years. I have a 1995 merc blackmax 150 outboard. I have been having an issue of the enging dying out after I rev up the boat and bring it back to neutral. It will idle fine and runs fine at WOT. Whie docking sometimes if I give it a quick burst of throtle and then bring right back to neutral it stalls. Here is what i've done so far...

1. Seafoam decarb
2. repalced spark plugs
3. rebuilt carbs
4. Changed water/fuel filter.
5. relaced crankcase 2 psi check valve (did this for a spearate smoking issue)

Here is what else I'm thinking I need to replace.

1. Primer bulb
2 In line fuel filter under cowling.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciaed.

Thanks!

Change that filter and check for spark jump on all sparkplug wires.

Thanks guys. That's helpful. I was hoping it would be just a filter or something b/c I can easily change those out. I have never tuned a carb so I have a bit of reservation attempting it. I think I will track down a service manual to see whats involved and then decide if its something I should be messing with.
