2007 mercury how to mix oil

I have a 2007 Mercury 50 hp outboard, 2 stroke, not Bigfoot , and I just realized that I have to mix oil with the gas. The ratio is 50:1, my question is, how to mix them? Should I just pour oil into the gas tank?

The engine does have a oil tank(about 3 liters), does it mix with gas automatically ? If not, should I change it every once a while as regular maintainence?

You need to find out if it's oil injected or not.If yes, is it working.Did you just buy outboard?
To pre mix just pour oil in tank then top up required fuel to mix.Remember too much oil is better than not enough.
