1989 Mariner 2 Stroke - No Spark?!

This boat I just bought is going to be the death of me...

So on Easter I had my motor running for the first time since I bought it. I put a new battery and 2 new spark plugs on her and she fired up quick and easy. The last couple of days I've been trying to get it running again but to no avail.

I finally figured out last night that I'm not getting a spark. So, can anyone give me a list of things to try on this to figure it out? The only thing I can think of (since I'm not all too mechanically inclined) is maybe the tether kill switch went bad or something? Nothing else has changed since I had it running last so I don't think any wires would be disconnected or anything like that.

Turns out it was the emergency kill switch by the ignition that was bad...I took it out and put it back in and it works but the switch is backwards!
