I have a Mercury 50 hp s/n 1c084939.
I hooked battery lead up to reverse poles.
It blew 20Amp mini fuse (main relay/accesories) and the voltage regulator had an open diodes.
I replaced both (mini fuse a new voltage regulator) , so, the problem continues, 20 Amp mini fuse blow when I try to start the engine.
Which is the problem ?
Should I check the stator, coils?
