I have an 80hp Merc and was told it was an 82 but know I am not sure. It has Blue around the cowling and a lighter shade of blue just underneath that. The 80 is red. My buddy has the same motor and the color under the blue on his is grey and he said it was 82. With what I have looked at on the net it looks to be from 80-83 according to the decal package I found but it was for a 70hp. Anyone Merc guys know the answer for exactly what we have? There are no other numbers anywhere that I can find. Thx for your time.
