After a winter of rebuilding on my pontoon, when I got to launch it for the season natural at least one problem popped up, in this case it would kick in the starter about ever third turn of the key. So I had to pull it back out and drag it home and I pulled out the book and started at the battery and went over ever connection by pulling each and polishing them and reinstalling, and same problem, next was checking the key switch wiring and that checked out, then I did the starter solenoid test and by the book it is supposed be 0 ohms and in this case some times it was 0 and other time it was reading 200, so I replaced it and now ever thing seams fine and I have had it back in the water and started it about 20 times. Thought I would toss this out for any one elese.
