Hello

Been working on this outboard, and I can't seem to figure out how many sparks #1 cylinder gets per engine revolution.

The problem I am having is the engine dies when going into or out of gear. I suspect the idle is too low. I adjusted the throttle cable to get more rpm and the test worked, but i need to know where the rpm is so I can set it properly. In order to get a tach installed I need to know how often the plug fires I am going to hook the tach to.

I do have a mercontrol with the plug for one, but, I can't seem to find the right parts to instal the origional.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Each cylinder fires once per revolution...
