How to identify 97-98ish Mercury 50 power trim pump?

I have a 97-98ish mercury 50 horse. The power trim pump has 4 hoses coming out of the bottom. One of them leaks. I tried to tighten it and pulled the threads:facepalm:. How do I find out what kind of pump I have? I'd like to order a new bottom for it or maybe have it retapped? I'm not sure what to do..

post a pic. there is a very good chance that i have the replacement manifold that you need. the manifold is the part with threads for your hoses. If so then you can have it for postage. but you need to post a picture so that i know what i'm looking for. there are over a half dozen versions.

The first problem that comes up is the s/n you offered, which you state is '97/98 but comes up as:

50 50 3-cyl 0A912478 0B110788 1986 USA

From here:

It comes up as a model:

1050726 MERCURY 1986 50

RRitt who posted previously is the recognized expert on these systems and I am sure he will chime in.

Why do you think it is a 97/98 engine? You can confirm the s/n by looking for a disc on the powerhead like this:

I asked my grandfather. He said 97-98ish. I found the registration. The boat is a 1998 Procraft Bass America. 1986 model motor sounds good to me. I looked on the powerhead and the serial number is the same as I listed.

I googled the model number. I'm pretty sure the part I need is control valve assembly 45197a2. It is obsolete on the site. Does anyone have one?
