lost serial number

I just bought a 115 hp mercury. The mounting bracket is broke and the serial number plate is is missing the top half. Is there another location to find the number so I can order parts. The guy I got it from said it was a 1995 model.

You can look on the lower starboard side of the powerhead for a disc like this:

Hi Gerry, can't quite workout exactly where that disc is going by the photo, is there any where else to look as i also have a 115hp motor with no id tag.

Thanks Gerry i was thinking that was the disc but was unsure at the time but the only thing is my disc is blank. I should mention that i live in Australia. Problem is i am having trouble ordering parts as i dont have a serial number to go off as i am even not sure whether it is a 115hp or a 100hp. the sticker on the cowl says 115, want to give it a bit of a freshen up ie overhaul carbies.
