I would love to get rid of the 2x2 system on my motor. I live in Alaska and run the boat year round but a motor that only runs on two cylinders in these temps doesn't work well. My question is if I pick up two carbs that match the upper two carbs can I just change out the bottom two carbs. I realize that they will all four need to be adjusted and synced. Will that convert it into a normal running motor or is there more to it? I appreciate any help I can get. I have read different post from other forums saying don't mess with the carbs, just live with it, but never any real answers.
