30 HP Mariner - Spark Plugs

I have a 1985 30HP Mariner Outboard. (Serial: 30E 689S 106748)

My SELOC manual under "engine specifications and tuneup-adjustments" have the following information in regards to the spark plugs for this engine.

Spark Plug NGK - B-7HS
Spark Champ - L82
Gap In. - 0.024

Can someone enlighten me as to the meaning of these 3 areas. Is this telling me what type of plugs to use? Also, can I go to any automotive shop to purchase plugs or do I need special marine plugs?

That is just showing the plugs listed in the parts manual, in this case NGK and their Champion equivalent and the gap which applies to both.

However, I do question the Seloc statement that L82 is an equivalent to NGK B7HS

Thanks Gerry for replying. I see what you mean about the champion equivalent. I'll just try to stick with the NGK B7HS plugs. Now just to locate some locally. Thanks again!
