I want to remove oil injection from my 2000 mercury 90 saltwater. PLEASE HELP

I have searched and seached, and cant find a step by step on how to remove the oil injection system on my 2000 mercury 90 hp salt water..the reason I want to remove it, is motor is now 12 years old, and the oil alarm malfuctioned on last owner, and the horn has been removed so I have no idea if its oiling or not.I prefer to mix myself rather than replace the horn sensor .It will just give me peice of mind KNOWING its getting oil.can anyone help me?

Go to your PMs and do as you wish with info sent. If ever want to sell the pump PM me as i would be intrested in it.

A word of caution , you cannot remove that pump as Merc offers no block off plate for it. Just make sure you remove oil pump shaft.
