Just bought this motor. Compression tested well, runs well, water tested it, plenty of power, etc. I want to be able to maintain this thing and keep it on the water a long time, oil, out drive, etc,etc - where can I get a manual that will tell me how to maintain it, where drain plugs are, maintenance intervals, etc?

Preferably free, but not unwilling to pay if needed.

What is your engine s/n as there are several versions of that engine?

0T009090

Its an ELPT 40 4 stroke.

I think that is it. The boat is having a bimini top installed and is not here, but I think that was the number.

Your s/n comes up as a model:

1F40412WD MERCURY 2000 40

Parts listing:

http://www.crowleymarine.com/mercury-outboard/4482.cfm

Service Manual P/N: 90-857046R1

http://1manual.com/Mercury manuals/Service Manual PDFs/FourStroke/857046r1/cover.pdf

You must have Adobe Acrobat reader installed to use this manual. If you scroll down to the lower part of the opening page, you will see the various engine components in red. Click on the one you want and when the first page opens, click on the "Save As" icon at the top LH corner of the page and you can save it to your computer.
