I have this 110 that is just sitting around taking up space probably for about 6 or 8 years. I know not much about it but I did get it to run for a minute (at best). I have an 88spl Johnson that I care for like a baby so some tech knowhow I do have.
The probs i know of are
carb has been rigged beyond recognition
oil leaks from gear case
ign wires need replacing
Anyone got some clues what to look for on this motor?
Oh and I cant find the starter motor...lol

I take that as a yes. I do have a 14' flat that I usually use trolling motor on but that would fit perfect.

The 110 mercswere and are very good motors, but can get very costly to fix depending on the year. I just repaired one for a man, used to belong to his dad, and normaly I would have not repaired. Some parts are hard to find and not all 110's use the same. The final cost for all parts that I had to replace was close to $500.00 and very time comsuming. If you still want to work on it, first find out Year made, Then get prices for the electrical system then make deside if you still want to repair it. The $500.00 did not include some of the parts that I already had.
Best of Luck and safe boating.
