I have a 2002 60 HP Merc Bigfoot on my pontoon and upon docking last night I went to trim up the engine at the console and nothing happened. So I went back to the engine trim switch and still nothing. No noises, nothing. I then switched off the batteries, then on again and tried the console switch and the motor trimmed up, YES!, and then stopped working again. Any suggestions ? Could this be a solenoid or relay ? Thanks for any input.

Sounds like a very good place to start ! Thanks Bond-o. Haven't had this boat very long and have had similar issues with wiring corrosion elsewhere.
