Re: 40 HP Mariner
1st problem found with 40 HP Mariner - I noticed today when running outboard on the hose that no water was flowing through the tattle tail - I pulled the hose from side of engine and not only is it open- when I put my finger over the hole I can feel it pumping air. Thats got me baffled. I am about to drop lower unit to have a look at the pump condition, but the idea that I feel positive air pressure @ the tattle tail outlet with the motor on the hose (motor running) and no waterflow anywhere has me baffled. Anybody explain this
