1980 mariner 40 HP plugs

I have a 1980 40 HP 2cycle Mariner it fouls plugs bad when troling, I change the plugs it starts back up and runs great any suggestions.

Several things: (1) Make sure you have correct plugs...B8HS (2) Engine t-stat is working (3) Gas/oil mixture is correct...50:1 (4) Carbs are adjusted correctly
