1987 115 mariner i6

im new here,but my problem is i had my starter rebuilt and replaced starter solenoid now when i try ti start it it doesnt turn fast enough to kick the starter gear up,and when i use tilt and trim the starter kicks the same if im turning the key,any wiring diagrams or help would save me a major headache,thnx

Yea.. sounds like you got some wires crossed..

A slow starter is often caused by either a poor connection, or a low battery.

Make sure all connections are clean, bright and tight, including the ground to the motor block.
