tilt and trim question for 1971 Merc 650

I'm looking for a tilt and trim unit for a '71 Merc 650. As I am looking around, I have found a couple for sale from the '70's, but they were for the larger engines (115hp to 125hp). Are these compatible with the smaller 650?

Yes, although they were made for the higher HP rated engines, the same system will work on yours. It's the first generation with the 2 rams bolted to the transom bracket with 4 hoses that were usually plummed through the splash well to the pump mounted inside the boat.
