so i thought i got a good deal on a 58 starcraft with a mid 60's 50 hp merc on it so haveing troubles it will run if i give it a shot of carb cleaner and then runs off it and dies. Ive got fuel to the carbs so i figured carbs are dirty it sat for two yrs so i just got done pulling them apart pretty clean for sitting. Put it back together now seems like my throttle needs adjusting seems like there is a lot of play from n until it starts to open the butterfly and also could the fuel problem be the fuel pump. I also pulled a compression test on the cyl not good they were all right at 85 id have to say its on its last leg any input is appreciated
