setting float level on 50 hp mercury

not sure the floats on my carbs are set right. when i pump ball on gas line gas pours out of carbs. i took carbs apart and cleaned them but still have gas coming out in one carb and booth carbs have gas sitting inside of them when running. 1987 50 hp mercury. i would like to know how to properly set floats.

What is the serial number on the motor. Is this a 3or4 cylinder.

i am not sure if the serial number will help this part of the motor was change but it mite be close. OB340724 and it is a 3 cylinder. the carbs have wme stamped on them and it is a square bowl

From the information given you have the Center Bowl type carburetor. With the float mounted with the needle in place and the carb upside down measure from the face of the carb bowl seal surface to the top of the float. This should be 11/16 inch. To adjust bend the float tab lever in the narrow part of the lever. This is the needle actuator lever in other parlance.
