Can I clean inside Tilt Ram with Carb Cleaner??

G'day all,When I eventually get the cap off tilt ram, I'm going to rebuild,seals,o ring etc.Manual says to clean with Parts Cleaner?? could I use Carb cleaner or should I just use a solvent(mineral Turps)then blow it out.

I do not think there is a need to use Carb Cleaner. I would stick with turpentine or maybe acetone.
