I am looking everywhere and do not know how to locate the poppet valve on my Mariner 175 HP '88 OBM. Is it possible that it has 2 of them? Only thing I see connected to the water system is duplicated. Any help would be appreciated!

It should be on the starboard side at the bottom of the block. You'll need to split and remove the lower cowling to access it. This video should help- your V6 should be the same. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPJndPiVITk
