Oil chain fell off.

Hello,
I got my 2010 75hp optimax back from the year check up at Cabela's. Went to check the oil and found that the chain has been broken off. Tried to get a magnet down into the oil to get it out. That cannot be done because of the curves they put into it.
I am not sure it is in there but the plastic piece on the cap is broken. Will it hurt to just leave it?

Take it back to whereever and get them to fix it, im assuming it was not like that when you dropped it off there... Id be upset...

That what I did. Took it back to Cabelas they took it all apart to find the chain. Wasn't there. They put it back together but ordered a new Oil tank and will replace it at no cost. I have had nothing but good service from those guys.
