ser 2486244 merc 1000 all info would be great i just bought the boat and motor for 300 and a row boat and motor lol wanted 2000 so i made out great the boat is a 68 glasstron i think it is a bass boat but i cant find much info about the boat

i got some water in my lower unit is there a anyway you can tell me what i need to fix this as in parts and about how long i have done this before on a old evenrude but i know they are different

Without having to tear everything apart, the quickest is to replace both seals on screws, item 67 under:

GEAR HOUSING ASSEMBLY, COMPLETE (PAGE 2

Most probable is that the seals are old and worn and are allowing water in. Quick change, back in the water and run it for a few trips.
