1989 8-9.9hp

Hello I have a 1989 mercury 8hp I was told years ago that the only differance between the 8 and9.9 was the carb. I replaced the carb but it does not seem any more powerfull is there something else I need to change.

And besides that you wouldn't really notice much difference with that small of an increase.
