Well this is probley the dumbest question in this forum, but does the priming bulb sit near the engine or near the tank?
On my 650 merc it is near the engine and the sun bakes it and it started to leak, I thought if it was near the tank it would be shaded and not so likly to start leaking.
Thanks,
Larry

I don't think it matters much.

I have mine almost right in the middle of the line, prob closer to the tank side.

As long as the arrow on the bulb is pointing the right way, it should be fine wherever. Mines closer to tank. Always in the shade.

Those bulbs last a long time, even in the sun. Place the new one where it is convenient to prime the motor.

i.e. Although the primer would last longest if you placed it in the bilge, it would not be easy to use.....
