Hello everyone. I am new to boating and I need a little help. I am mechanically inclined but I have never messed with an outboard. I just bought a 1973 14" foot Duranautic in decent condition. It has a 62 Merc 110. I tried to run it and it was not peeing. I removed the Lower Unit and the Impeller was toast. I ordered the new impeller but I need help putting it back together. So here are my questions. I did not find or see a pin for the impeller to lock it in place to the shaft. Does this engine use a pin? My next question is does the impeller fins face left or right looking from above. Almost done last two questions I see hash marks on the impeller housing that match the lower unit so those need to line up correct? and finally how do I line up the lower unit to put it back in.
