Here is probably the same question asked over and over. 2 weeks ago my son and I were at the lake, boat was running perfect, we stopped and drifted a while, started the motor and went at about 1/4 throttle, I turned the ignition off at that speed, motor quit of course. went to restart it 20 minutes later it seemed flooded. tried to clear it out, no help. So I thought maybe fuel starved, nope choke killed it instantly. I have spark at all 3 cylinders, new plugs, fuel filter good, carbs removed and checked over. All looks good. 2 years ago, new stator, trigger, rectifier, and switching box. I have afeeling its the switching box again. Anybody know if running the motor above idle and turning it off could ruin the switching box?
