I have just joined the boating fraternity at last.
I am trying identify my mercury outboard by model and serial number,but alas i can only find some reference to it,s model.After removing the hood i managed to find some letters saying comet lightning,and where it says SER NO,there is nothing.
To add insult to injury,despite being assured it was a runner,it will not fire up.
I removed the plugs and checked for a spark,there isn,t any at either plug.
Can anybody help,or does anybody know a good Mercury mechanic in the Manchester area.
