what i do know about the motor,

v6
mariner 2 stroke.
i have looked high and low for the serial number or model number on the port side of the engine and i have not found anything that could lead me to knowing the year or model of the engine. does anyone have any ideas on where it could be or how i could find it?????????

The serial number is usually in more than one place ...

pull the covers off the power head. some where on there there should be what looks like a shiny disk...like a freeze plug.
The number stamped on it is the serial number.
