Been having this problem for a couple of years now. Took it to a couple of good repair shops and they can not find out the problem. The valves are adjusted every year by the shops and the last 2 years the carb was cleaned. The motor runs fine between 800 and 1000 rpm and it runs fine at 1300 rpm and above, but where I need it to run for trolling, between a 1000 and 1200 rpm it will not hold a steady rpm. And now the crazy part, after a couple of hours of fishing and fighting with the engine it will troll just fine where ever I need it to run. Last week I installed a troll master hoping that would help but I still have the same results. Any help would be appreciated.
