I Just bought a used 1998 Tracker Pontoon with a 2003 Mercury 50 ELPT 2 stroke. I do not see anyplace on the motor to install the trim indicator sending unit (unit needs a slot with 2 bolt holes). I've done this before so I know where to look....
Do/did some of the Mercury 50's not come with a place to mount the analog sending unit?
Thinking maybe the engine was replaced but the 1998 hydraulics were used? Boat does have a factory trim guage installed. Could this be the case? Again, not seen one without a place to install the sender....
