Hi all
My old 7.5hp kicker's stator is fried and a new one is way more than I paid for the whole motor.
So here's the question for you.
What would happen if I connected a battery to the terminals where the stator normally goes? Any chance that might work? or am I just gonna fry everything else?

cheers

NO WAY your stator puts out soecific ampage to the parts if you want to buy a new switchbox as well I wouldn,t even think of it If this could be done why would they have a stator in the first place That is a Dumb Dumb idea

Must be a 70 or 71 model.

thanks Fatzbullet. that would be great.
I posted a request for one last year and never got a reply.
that little motor ran great for a couple of years considering that I paid $150 for it.
