The 1st time I crank up, water comes out the tel-tale fine. After about 1 minute I'll hear a "spitting" sound, like air is mixing with the water. If I idle all the way down I may not have any water coming out. Then the alarm goes off and I'll shut it down. It usually takes about 30 seconds before I can start it again without the alarm going off. Then everything works fine. It only does this the 1st time I start it or if I've fished for a long time before I restart (in other words, when the engine is cold). Impeller or maybe a thermostat problem?
