2002 mercury 90hp will not rev past 2,800 3,000 under a load

hi my names mike i got a 02 90hp merc and the other day i was out rideing and it just just off(i was running about 34 40 mph) but it started right back up......boat has ran fine the two, to three weeks befors that ive taking it out every day....so i brought it home took the carbs apart cleaned them cleaned the fuel pump rebuilt it, put it all back together. fired it up on the at the house with muffs and it ran fine toook it out on the river and it did the same thing, ran good for about ten mins or so then shut off fired it back up and headed back to the boat ramp but it would not go over 2,800, 3,000 rpms..


got it back home cheaked the fuel. no water in it its got spark, replaced all the fuel lines and filter with oem merc parts put it back together same thing.....anyone out there might have the solution would be great

we pulled it apart today it had a hole in the pistion
