Does anyone here have this motor? Just wondering how the reliability of it is. I have the opportunity to buy one that is brand new, I'm guessing a 2010 model, for around $1700-$1800 from work (Cabela's). It's "used", the customer bought it didn't want it and returned it, so it's never been used. Is that a good price for the motor? I know the normal price is around $2800 up there, but Cabela's tends to overprice everything. I would be putting this on my 1436 jon boat. Just wondering if anyone has experience with this one and can speak to the quality of them. It would be the first outboard that I have owned. Thanks to any input you have!

snap it up.my 2010 mariner equivalent was ?1600 thats $2500 and no electric start but it pulls like a train and lovely and quiet.i also got a maintenance cd with mine which was comprehensive 500+ pages of pdf files.will be a bit heavier than a standard lump.
