I recently bought a boat with a 99 mercury 224 with 350 hrs on it. Took it on a sea trial before i bought it and it ran great. second time i took the boat out after running it all day on the ride home it started acting like it was low on fuel. I though i had run out of gas like some kind of rookie. However i went to refuel and only took 60 gallons in a 131 gallon tank. Took the boat back out and had the same problem i would go out for about 15 min then all of a sudden the motor would start acting up my rpms would go from 4500 to 3000 jump back up to say 3500 then just drop down till full throttle was running about 2800 rpms. I changed my fuel filters got rid of the old fuel and had the tank treated and figured id be good to go. So i took it out again and had the same damn problem....does anyone please have any suggestions
