Mercury Part Number Differences

Does anyone know the real difference between part number 813563T1 and 813563A 1? They are listed as alternate parts but have a price difference of$200.

What does the "T" and "A" represent?

I don't know what the part IS, but it could have to do with the options that your engine has. Example: my engine needed a stator and the manual start stator was $140.00 while the electric start stator was close to $300.00. (That was one time I was glad for the manual start on my outboard!)

The part # is for a 25" housing, the 813563a1 fits 1990-1998 models 135 -200hp and the 813563T1 is for 1999 and up models. Difference should be mounts and cosmetic's and they are same rice at boats.net( 708.00)
