I am having problems with keeping this motor running after start. It starts right up but dies after about 10 seconds. Dies sharply. Here is what I have done so far:
Replaced Fuel Pump
Replaced spark plugs
Remove in line fuel filter..checked and cleaned.
checked all hoses
connected exterior fuel source from another tank just to eliminate bad as or tank and hose problems.
Sprayed carb cleaner in carbs

No change in symptoms.. I can bump the choke and the engine will keep running.. I cna squeeze the bulb and it will keep running. I can hold the butterfly on the carb 1/4 way open or more, and it will run like a scalded dog.. but as soon as I stop doing any of that, it immediately dies.
It seems to definitely be starved for gas, but I can't figure out the culprit...any ideas?

Sounds like problem in idle circuits in carbs, has engine been setting up unused?

yes it has been sitting up for about 8 months. Put some Stabil in the tank but should have gone out and started it a couple of times a month..shame on me.

Any ideas...I don't know about the Idle Circuit...is that an electrical device?
