have a 1980 115hp inline 6 ran great for a few days started losing power at high speed. have checked eng comp have 150psi on 5 and 142 psi on one. have replace spark plugs and wires . found great spark on 2/4/6. low spark on 1/3/5. so replace upper switch box for 1/3/5. boat ran good for aboput hr and same thing happen no power at high speed ran good if putting at low speed. did find some brittle wires coming from the stator the two yellow wires going to the rectifier. Now have taken the stator off and going to replace that and see if that works but i was thinking about replacing the trigger at the same time don't know how old either part is and already have everything off so do it once. now having a problem gettin trigger off the mount that the flywheel bolts to {8 bolts]is in the way to remove trigger any help on getting this off have tryed a puller but does not want to pop off is their a trick for this????????:

Just a little heads up for anyone with this same type of problem replace the stator left trigger alone boat is flying now just make sure you mark flywheel.Makes it alot faster when putting everything back. took about an 1.5 hrs cost about 165.00 for the part
