Hoisting 1964 Mercury 50 hp OB

Hope this is a simple one. I need to remove a 1964 Mercury 50 hp OB from a boat I just bought to restore. I figured out how to remove the wraparound and access the motor, but what I need to know is where I can attach an engine hoist. Old Johnson's have a fairly obvious hoist fitting when you remove the cowel; not sure about the Mercury since the top doesn't appear to come off very easily? There does seem to be something a hoist might attach to on the front top but I suspect it is simply trim that doesn't bear weight.
